What's your morning beverage of choice? Coffee, tea, juice? Homemade or store-bought?
Coffee. Two cups. With cream, no sugar. We make ours in a French press using beans we grind ourselves (our grinder is a crappy blade one, though). We purchase the beans at Costco -- we've been doing a Seattle Mountain brand, bouncing between the Ethiopian Sidamo and the French Roast.
For the rest of the day, I stick to tea (sometimes herbal, sometimes black). I've only gotten in to tea recently though. Love the stuff, especially with a bit of honey and some cream (if it's black tea).
I am once again entering a decluttering obsession. I had one when we moved almost two months ago, but never got rid of everything I had hoped to. Then I broke my foot, which made it impossible to do much of anything for four weeks. Now that I'm starting to hobble around again, I'm ready to do some more decluttering. I was really obsessed with my wardrobe around the time of our move. Now I've moved on to my kitchen. My kitchen isn't pretty, but it's really functional and nice-sized. I need to get some pot-rack storage system for the wall, which I think I'm going to try to find at IKEA when we're in Seattle next week. I also want to get a magnetized knife rack so I can get rid of the counter hog that is my knife block. I also need to go through my utensil drawer, which is so messy and full that I can barely open it, and my cabinets to weed out unused dishes and cookware. Anyhow, to get inspiration, I'm Flickring phrases like 'small kitchen,' 'european kitchen,' and 'paris kitchen.' There's something about those tiny-tiny European kitchens that thrill me.
There are many, many other areas I need to tackle (office/junk room, kids' toys, kids' clothes), but one area at a time, right?
This week's purchases (I lost the connector cable to my frickin' camera or else I'd show pictures too).

Okay, yarn and one cookbook (Gnome, you know the one) aside, I'm done fall shopping for myself. Oh, except I need a windproof fleece and a few long sleeve t-shirts. But I'm not going to get any more shoes. I swear! (I really want a pair of Chaco Flips in black, but they can wait until next summer.)
Thanks to Gnome for the invite!
I can't stand sugar in my coffee. I'd love to do cream but my coffee tends to be 50/50 coffee... read more
